Undergraduate Courses

  • CE201: Strength of Materials

This foundational course introduces students to the principles of stress, strain, and material behavior under various loading conditions. It covers topics such as axial loads, torsion, bending, and shear, equipping students with the analytical tools necessary to understand and design safe, efficient structural components.

  • CE406: Steel Structures

Focusing on the design and analysis of steel structures, this course delves into concepts like tension members, compression members, beams, connections, and plastic analysis. Students learn to apply codal provisions to develop practical, economical, and safe steel designs for modern infrastructure.

  • GE109: Introduction to Engineering Products

This interdisciplinary course offers students a hands-on experience with various engineering products, such as 3D printers, CPUs, engines, and motors. Students actively engage in dismantling these machines, studying their components, and reassembling them to restore functionality. Emphasizing creativity and problem-solving, the course bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, inspiring students to design innovative, functional, and sustainable products.

Postgraduate/Ph.D. Courses

  • CE521: Finite Element Analysis for Civil Engineering Applications

This advanced course introduces the finite element method as a powerful computational tool for solving complex civil engineering problems. Topics include element formulation, meshing, and structural analysis, enabling students to simulate real-world scenarios with accuracy and precision.

  • CE552: Bridge Engineering

This specialized course provides a comprehensive introduction to the expansive field of bridge engineering. Students gain knowledge about various bridge classifications, components, and loading standards. The course also equips students with the skills to design simple bridge types, offering hands-on experience in understanding the fundamental analysis and design procedures involved in bridge construction.
